To facilitate Faculty of Education’s efforts in conducting high impact educational research in strategic areas of education, such as the educational policy research in the context of Chinese mainland, curriculum reform, teacher development, and integration of technology in education.

To facilitate research collaborations with education practitioners and researchers/scholars in Mainland schools and universities.

To facilitate knowledge transfer in school improvement and teacher professional development to Mainland schools.

To gain access research opportunities uniquely available in the Mainland context (e.g., access to research sites and data, opportunities for competing for research grants administered by Mainland funding sources).
