“Leadership for Future Schools” Advanced Training Program (22-27 Jul)

In July 2024, The Chinese University of Hong Kong's  Centre for Education Research and School Improvement(CERSI), under the Faculty of Education, successfully held the "Leadership for Future Schools" Advanced Training Program. The event was jointly organized by the CUHK Faculty of Education CERSI, CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute, and the CUHK Office for Greater Bay Area Developments, with support from the TUYF Charitable Trust. It attracted 40 outstanding principals and teachers from primary and secondary schools in Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province. The six-day program aimed to broaden the horizons of educational leaders and deepen their understanding of future education trends. The curriculum, designed and delivered by professors from the CUHK Faculty of Education, included topics such as “Curriculum and Teachers in Change”, “Student and Curriculum Assessment in the AI Era”, “Learning-centred School Leadership”, “Evidence-based Education Improvement and Reform” and “Teacher Action Research”, helping participants master innovative educational concepts and practical strategies. This training program not only enhanced the professional capabilities of the participants but also built a bridge for educational collaboration between Guangdong and Hong Kong, injecting new momentum into the development of basic education.
